West Georgia RESA serves the educational communities of our region by providing high-quality professional learning, services, and support to school districts. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable receptionist to be the welcoming face of our agency and to support daily operations.

Position Summary

The Receptionist provides frontline customer service for the agency by greeting guests, answering and directing phone calls, and supporting staff with clerical and data entry tasks. This position also performs routine financial data entry to support the Finance Department. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Front Desk & Customer Service

  • Greet, welcome, and assist visitors in a professional, courteous manner

  • Answer multi-line phone system; screen and direct calls appropriately

  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area

  • Provide general information to callers and guests about WGRESA services, events, and contacts

  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages; prepare outgoing mail

Administrative & Office Support

  • Assist with scheduling, meeting setup, and room reservations

  • Prepare sign-in sheets, name tags, and materials for professional learning events

  • Support staff with copying, scanning, filing, and other clerical tasks

  • Maintain office supply inventory and place orders as needed

  • Update internal directories, calendars, and contact lists

Finance Department Support

  • Perform accurate data entry of financial records, invoices, and purchase orders

  • Assist with scanning, filing, and organizing financial documents

  • Support monthly reconciliations and other routine finance tasks as assigned

  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with financial procedures and audit requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous receptionist or administrative experience preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets)

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Professional demeanor, punctuality, and reliability

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

Work Schedule & Compensation

This is a full-time, 12-month position. Salary and benefits are competitive and aligned with WGRESA’s compensation guidelines.
